Sussex STAR Run for Refugees

The University of Sussex STAR (Student Action for Refugees) society is going to collectively run/walk/cycle 72 Miles in two weeks from 9th November to 23rd November. We have chosen 72 miles as this is distance from Damascus to Beirut. We will be tracking our progress using the Strava app.
10/11 UPDATE: We have already reached our initial 72 Mile target!! Our new target distance is 160 Miles - this represents the distance from Tunis to Sicily.
15/10 UPDATE: At the end of week 1 we have hit 168.1 miles and completed our extended target. Our new goal is 258 Miles - this is to represent the distance from Paris to London!
23/11 FINAL UPDATE: At the end of the two weeks we have completed a massive 358 Miles!! Smashing our extended target. Thank you to everyone who has contributed or donated.
The aim of this challenge is to raise awareness of the plight of refugees and raise money for STAR. STAR is a national charity of 34,000 students welcoming refugees to the UK. Together we: volunteer at local refugee projects, campaign to improve the lives of refugees and educate people about refugees and asylum. Find out more about STAR here http://www.star-network.org.uk/
