My father dedicated his life to public service. If there is one thing that I have learned from him, it is sacrifice. He sacrificed so many things in his life in order to dedicate his efforts towards serving his community.
Aside from so many missed moments with his family, my dad was always so preoccupied with his service that saving and financial planning for the future were just never a priority. During the last couple of years of his life, my dad was already struggling to make ends meet as he poured everything he had into his business that was to train and educate emergency respondents for grain bin rescue situations.
Following his heart attack in 2016, the bills began to pile up. Fortunately, we were able to get all of his medical needs taken care of and resolve those financial burdens. However, with no life insurance and financial reserves set in place, I have now acquired full responsibility for his funeral and memorial services.
With great difficulty, I am asking for any help that you may be willing to give in order to help cover these expenses to lay my father to rest.
