Shawn's Medical Fund

My name is Erika Berg. I am in a domestic partnership with Shawn Coleman and we have a 3 year old son, Ludvig. I am writing on behalf of Shawn because we need help with costs after an accident that Shawn was in.

On October 11, 2017, Shawn was enjoying his hobby outside, running his RC (radio controlled) truck in a wooded area, mid afternoon, when his Jeep was stolen. He was only about 10 feet away, so he rushed to his Jeep to stop the thief, as the criminal sped away. Shawn held on for about 100 yards and suffered injury as the Jeep sped off upwards of 30+ miles per hour.

Shawn sustained a fractured skull, broken bones, chipped teeth and the loss of a vehicle. 

We are asking for donations from friends, family, social media followers, and anyone willing to help, to get our family through this tough time, get Shawn on his feet, and restore his faith in humanity. We need to cover medical expenses, lost wages, child care costs, and other expenses related to this event. 

Although time will heal, there is urgency in this matter. Shawn is a father to a wonderful little boy, Ludvig, and needs to be able to be a stay-at-home dad with him, grocery shop, get back to his job, and get to college so he can continue to work on earning his degree. We also need dental services covered quickly.
