Hello, my name is Anita.
I’m reaching out with hope and urgency—hope that I can get the medical treatment I desperately need to repair a serious neck injury caused when I was hit by a careless driver, a situation in which the responsible party was let off by a judge. Since the accident, my independence and quality of life have been severely limited.
Right now, I rely on a power wheelchair whenever I need to walk more than five minutes. Simple, everyday tasks that many take for granted—like preparing meals, cleaning my home, doing laundry, washing dishes, and bathing—have become near impossible for me. I feel trapped in my own body, unable to care for myself or live independently. It’s heartbreaking and exhausting.
The only chance I have to heal is through regenerative injection therapy with Dr. Centeno at Centeno Schultz Clinic in Broomfield, Colorado. This therapy uses stem cells from my own bone marrow to help repair damaged tissue and restore function. Unfortunately, this treatment is not covered by the Ontario government, as it is not yet regulated here, making it inaccessible without help.
Each treatment for my neck costs between $12,500 and $14,500 USD, and I’ve been told I will need five procedures to have a real chance at recovery. I also have injuries in other areas—my lower back, ribs, and jaw—that require treatment at the same time, bringing the cost of each session to about $20,000 USD.
I live on a very limited income, receiving less than $12,000 CAD a year from government support. There’s simply no way I can afford this on my own.
I’m asking for your help to raise $100,000 USD so I can get these treatments, regain my mobility, and reclaim the life I once had—where I could live life to the fullest, find love and happiness, and regain independence and dignity.
Every dollar brings me one step closer to healing and a brighter future.
Thank you so much for your kindness, generosity, and for believing in my journey.
With gratitude,
Anita
