Black Health Professions Organization at UT

Hello everyone! We are the Black Health Professions Organization at the University of Texas at Austin. BHPO is a pre-health organization that provides pre-health students with opportunities and resources to make them competitive applicants for their health professional schools of choice. Our organization has recently become a chapter of the Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students (MAPS)  which allows pre-med students to take advantage of resources that are specific to their needs for applying to medical school. This April, we plan to attend the Annual Medical Education Conference (AMEC) in Philadelphia, PA hosted by the Student National Medical Association.  Here, students will have the chance to network with fellow students, current medical students, doctors, and researchers. In addition to developing a professional network, students will be able to take part in workshops aimed at honing important skills required for the application process such as interviewing and formulating a great personal statement.  At this time, we are asking for your support in helping us attend the conference. BHPO has expanded so much over the years, so we are also accepting general donations that would ensure that we can continue to provide the quality resources to our members. Thank you!
