Troop 65 - Philmont 2019

This summer Troop 65 will be sending two crews of boy scouts and adults to Philmont Scout Ranch. The crews will embark on a twelve day trek through the rocky mountains of Cimmaron, New Mexico. The crews will experience mulitple activities including horseback riding, mining, lumberjack challenges, blacksmithing, and hiking Philmont's legendary peaks, the Tooth of Time and Mount Baldy.

The crews will begin their training in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Before heading to Philmont base camp the crews plan to raft down the Rio Grande River and visit the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History.

Funds will be needed by June 1st. We will continue to raise funds till July 1st.  Funds will be used to offset costs for crew equipment (backpacker transport bags, etc...), crew neckerchiefs, hats, t-shirts and expedition patches.

The boys and Leaders would  be extremely grateful for your support and service in helping them experience and attend one of the biggest scouting dreams.
