Saturday, September 1st, Ana was riding her Vespa scooter, when she was struck by a drunk driver. Among other injuries she sustained, her foot was in the worst condition.
After multiple consultations by the physicians at the hospital where she is being treated, the doctors have advised the best route moving forward will be to amputate her foot, and the lower part of her leg. They will amputate just below her knee.
Ana is the sort of person who would never start a campaign like this on her own behalf - so I thought it only fitting.
