Alonso's Hip Replacement

My husband, Alonso Castillo, is a great husband and father of two boys. In spite of working long hours to support our family for many years, he's always made the time to be involved as a coach with all of our boys' activities, everything from baseball to football.
After living and working for the last several years with pain on a daily basis, Alonso was diagnosed with arthritis in his right hip. He and his doctors attempted to treat the condition with a non-surgical approach, without success.
His pain and limitations have increased daily and his only option now is a total hip replacement, which is scheduled for Feb. 16th.
It's difficult to put into words how much it has hurt to see his quality of life deteriorate in just the last 6 months.
Alonso will be unable to return to work for at least a month, possibly longer. We will also have to meet the $3000 deductible before his health insurance begins to cover any of his medical expenses.
