R-3K-E of Buffalo Trail Elementary is going to Globals!
What is Globals you ask? This is the global Destination Imagination annual competition with over 16,000 competitors from around the world.
Destination Imagination provides educational programs in which students solve open-ended Challenges and present their solutions at tournaments. R-3K-E is an elementary school team that has been working on their solution to the Structural Challenge - Musical Mashup since October. They had to design a structure that was also a musical instrument (with a 30 second solo played on it!) and would hold weight all while telling a story about a musical character. This team successfully created a musical tower, wrote a play, built a set and created costumes and has now been invited to represent Colorado in this global competition!
The team is working to raise the funds to be able to participate in this amazing event! No amount to small - everything helps!
