Five years ago, our journey began across an ocean, with me being from the U.S. and my partner being from Ireland. We fell in love despite the miles between us, choosing each other even when it meant living with thousands of miles in between us. But distance doesn’t just separate two people—it separates a family.

We’ve spent years navigating the challenges of a long-distance relationship, relying on video calls and short visits to stay connected. But we’ve also had to make sacrifices too. We’ve missed birthdays, anniversaries, Christmases, and even funerals. Moments that should have been spent together were marked by lonely holidays and celebrations apart.

The hardest part has been watching our daughter grow up missing her daddy, knowing she deserves to have both of her parents by her side. She’s spent half of her life waiting for the next visit, never knowing how long the goodbye will last.

We’ve fought to make this work through countless airport goodbyes and months of separation. But after years of waiting, we’re finally ready to close the gap and build a life together. We want to create new memories as a family, without the pain of distance and farewells.

Now we are husband and wife as of 02/28/2025! ❤️ but even getting married we had do online instead of in person.

We have dreamed of this moment for years, being husband and wife and being together without end. Our last steps to together is buying the flight and paying my apartment termination fee.
