Ladles Of Love is a 501-C non-profit Ministry. Three years ago the ministry was started at the Angier Methodist Church. It started out slow serving maybe 5-10 meals a week. Now we deliver approximately 300 to 350 meals to people at their homes. The growth necessitate that we incorporate to better serve our neighbors. We have been in incorporated for 2 years serving Harnett County.
The people we serve are handicapped or seniors that are not able to get out and work or provide for themselves. We also serve the homeless of our county. We need to expand our services by providing a kitchen where people can attend and get a free hot meal or where we can prepare additional meals for delivery to our outlet churches and delivery people. We feel this will be a central location around which we can come together and serve our neighbors even more. It is to the under served and often forgotten people that we dedicate our mission.
Human connection is the most important thing for these folks. We can meet that need by feeding them, having a place they can come to and feel accepted; a piece of community just for them. It can act as a meeting place of the thriving community and the forgotten community of people. It can be the central collection point for our donations in both funds and material. It can be the outreach to God's people by God's people. It can serve as means for the charitable to serve a large group across a broad spectrum of needs with your donations.
We need to raise $10,000.00 to further the ministry. Our growth has necessitated the opening of a kitchen in the Lillington, NC as it is central to our service area. The money will pay for our rent, and deposit on water, and electric and gas. We also need kitchen equipment, chairs, and tables, plus other Items to get started.
