Help me get to Harvard, please!

This past year, in my career, I was able to develop my niche in uplifting, supporting, encouraging, teaching and helping families reach their student's goals academically, socially, and emotionally. I have shared tears with families who have lost relatives while simultaneously seeking grief counseling, I have combed lice out of hair, I have clothed at the least 100 kids, been invited to family events on the weekends and so much more. I believe whole-heartedly that it takes a village to raise a human, to maintain my humanity, as well as yours. It will take the same "village" to save humanity from its own faults.  Due to the passion I have built around engaging families, I am constantly thinking of ways to be better at what I feel called to do! My goal is to increase my capacity by increasing my knowledge, skills, and ability to support, uplift, teach and help families more effectively and efficiently than I have done in the past. My goal is to grow. Dr. Karen Mapp is someone whose framework I have been using to lead my practice, and I thought it would be an amazing opportunity to learn from who I consider a subject matter expert on family engagement in schools! I have the honor of being accepted into Family Engagement in Education: Creating Effective Home and School Partnerships for Student Success a Harvard Graduate School of Education Professional Education Program! The very program that Dr. Karen Mapp is the Faculty Chair over.   Unfortunately, the school district is unable to provide me with any financial support for attending this program, and I am not in the position to foot a 2,500.00 tuition bill along with travel and hotel expenses. I am asking that you all help me reach my goal, help me grow as a professional, help me to learn from one of my personal academic idols, and help me say that I got to go to HARVARD, even if it is only for one week!
