Medical Expenses

My sweet father is battling Parkinson’s disease, and with that comes Alzheimer’s/Dementia. His disease progressed faster than what we had expected, and this has not been an easy battle for him, or the family as well. I received a phone call around 9:00pm on 12/28/20 from my brother telling me that our father took a nasty fall again, and busted his head open, and also broke two bones in his neck. Please keep him in your prayers. We are unable to visit him at this time due to covid restrictions. At this time, we are still working on getting him on disability, but it has been a long drawn out process(7 years). He will require more medical treatment at this time, and has a long road of recovery ahead and medical bills are already piling up, as his Medicare got termed earlier this year, and we are unable to get it renewed. I know it’s a hard time and a hard year for everyone. My mother is his sole care taker, and due to covid, they no longer have transportation, so she is unable to see him. She also cares for a 14 year old, and two sons at home with mental disabilities. I have set this account up for his medical costs, as they are already piling up. This is all that we know of so far, as we cannot visit and have to call the hospital for updates. He could be needing more treatment as well. This has been really devastating for our family, as it is not the first fall he’s had.
