20 Years - Pastor Andrew Weisner

As many of you know, I am currently in the process of trying to raise support for Water to Thrive to donate in Pastor Weisner's name in honor of his 20 years of service to our school.
Water to Thrive is an incredible organization that the Pastor is very passionate about, and our donation of $5,000 could give 20 years of safe, clean water to over 250 people who would otherwise have no access to something we take for granted daily. Although the figure may seem daunting to us as students, if we all contributed, we could build this well!!! It is a very feasible goal that only requires a small sacrifice on our part (less than a Starbucks cup of coffee or a beer). (Plus I know a lot of you just got refund checks so....) So far, we currently have raised $300 toward our goal…so please consider a small gift.
In addition to collecting money for this surprise donation in the Pastor's name, I am also collecting any kind of thank you or congratulations cards, notes, or letters. If you have a kind word to share with the Pastor about all he has done, please do so. Also, if you have pictures with Pastor Weisner feel free to share those as well. Pictures are precious memories of wonderful moments in time. These things can all be dropped off in Dean Katie's office, or I can take them if you see me around campus. If you would like to send a note for the Pastor to my e-mail because you aren't able to write it and get it to Dean Katie or I, please do so. We just want to love on this man at least a fraction of the way that he has loved on us and Lenoir-Rhyne over these past 20 years.
Everything (donations, letters, cards, etc.) is due by Wednesday, the 18th. This only gives us a few days, so get it all in ASAP!
Most importantly, please keep this all a secret until we celebrate with a surprise in the Caf this coming Thursday (the 19th) at 6:00 pm. If you can attend this that would be wonderful as well! There will be cake. :)
