Hub City RC Club, Saskatoon, New Runway Project

Now in our 50th year, The Hub City Radio Control Club operates and maintains a model aircraft flying site just outside of Saskatoon. Our members support and encourage youth who want to become model aviators, through discovery flights, weekly training sessions and mentorships. In 2015 our members installed a series of geotech sheets to form our current runway. This was expected to last 7-10 years. The sun and model airplane propeller strikes have damaged the runway and it is now clear the runway will need to be replaced sooner than expected. Our vision is to build an improved runway with a much longer life span. We have secured estimates to replace this fabric with asphalt to make a 40’ X 600’ runway. Your assistance in achieving this goal will be greatly appreciated.
