First of all, we want to thank all the First Responders, Texas Game Wardens, our border friends from Louisiana, my fellow Aggies, plus all the selfless volunteers that took care and assisted the community in Canyon Gate in Katy Texas. My wife and kids (3 months, 10, 13, 16) plus two dogs evacuated early while I stayed behind to assist any remaining members of our neighborhood. Never did we imagine this storm would devastate our community like it has. I fortified our house as much as I could and stayed and fought until I couldn't. My flag is still flying where I left it and is a reminder to everyone who passes it. Knocked down but not knocked out! We appreciate all the well wishes and prayers we have received from around the state. The outreach of our network of friends and family has touched our hearts. With so many friends asking how they can help, not only our community but our family as well. We decided to start this fund me to make it easier for everyone involved. My wife and I are givers not takers. We have worked hard for everything we have and to provide for not only our family but the community we live in. So it's a uncomfortable position for the shoe to be on the other foot. If we do not raise a cent we will continue forward as we always have. Our focus is to get back on our feet as soon as possible so we can turn our focus back to our community with help. Our schools are flooded and are going to need all essentials. Our community is broken and will need TLC. From the photo our house has two feet of water. We are so blessed to be able to see windows. So many are only seeing roof tops. So whatever we raise over just to get our house livable will be donated to our schools and community. Thank you so much for everyone's support whether it's through donations here, text, messages, or prayers. We are taking them all with humble hearts and appreciation that can't be described. Thank you and God bless!
