Can you help us take our play 'Bed 13' to the Edinburgh fringe?
At a sell out run in London in July 2018, audiences told us that Putney Theatre Company's production of Bed 13 should be seen by a much wider audience. So we are making plans to take it to the 2020 Edinburgh fringe! And we need help to pay for venue hire, fringe participation fees and other associated costs.
Who are we? The writer, composer, cast and crew of 'Bed 13', a new play performed by Putney Theatre Company, a local community theatre based in southwest London..
What is Bed 13? Part comedy, part serious drama, this play with songs and dance, long-listed for the 2017 Papatango new writing prize, explores the pressures facing one of the UKs best loved institutions, the NHS:
"A&E is full, ambulances are queuing up outside and patients waiting for a bed in the main hospital have to be accommodated in a temporary overflow ward. This play tells the sometimes heart warming, sometimes heart rending stories of the occupants of overflow ward's Bed 13 and their clinicians."
