This camp is a safe place for children of all kinds. It's a place to let your hair down and get back to the basics. We pride ourselves on keeping the traditions that started the camp fifty years ago. This is the camp you went to as a kid.
In 2013, Second Nature Social Skills, sought out a partnership with the Marshfield Branch YWCA Cambridge's Summer Day camp. The company works with children, teens, and adults with social challenges with or without a formalized diagnosis. The YWCA Day Camp was the perfect environment for our learners. We want to see this partnership continue.
In 2018, the YWCA Cambridge closed the camp because they wanted to focus on their area's demographic and managing the space remotely was challenging. The Town attempted to raise funding for it, but didn't have enough collateral to accomplish it. This summer, we are renting the space to run our same camp. We really want to see this continue. This is where we need you.
We know we can be successful running this place ourselves. What we need is YOUR help! Please consider donating whatever you can to help us achieve our dreams. To obtain this space to run our same camp, and create a safe space and a home for the residents of Marshfield, and all the surrounding towns that have traveled the distance to see the magic of this property.
