Palestine-Wheatley Spanish Club is planning a trip to Costa Rica and YOU can make it happen!
A trip like this could truly change the trajectory of a student's life. It will give them the tools they need to succeed now and in the future.
All of this is amazing, but my students need YOUR help!
Palestine-Wheatley High School is a high-poverty school where 100% of students receive free lunches. Therefore, we have decided to raise all of the funds so that the students and their families do not have to bear the cost. The trip will cost approximately $2,333 per student, which includes meals, plane tickets and travel, hotels, and excursions.
For students from a rural and isolated town, this is an amazing opportunity to take part in a culture and lifestyle that is completely different from their own. These are students that have never had the opportunity to travel outside of the country. Six out of seven of our travelers have never even left the state of Arkansas.
Any contribution is appreciated. Every little bit helps! But, just to give you an idea of what your donation could fund:
$20 will purchase travel essentials for one student such as a rain poncho and airport-friendly hygiene products.
$50 will allow one student to participate in the horseback riding or Folkloric event excursion.
$100 will allow one student to travel worry-free with EF Educational Tour's all-inclusive travel insurance.
$150 will equip one of the students with their first passport and empower them to be a global citizen for years to come.
