<div>Jorge fue diagnosticado en 2015 con una enfermedad rara: <strong>Hipertensión Arterial Pulmonar Idiopática.</strong> Es una enfermedad rara, incurable y progresiva. Las arterias de sus pulmones poco a poco se van endureciendo y aunque a pesar que estuvo nueve años en tratamiento y vigilancia para controlar su enfermedad y síntomas, desde mayo de este año 2024, la enfermedad avanzó de manera muy <strong>rápida y agresiva.</strong>

<div>La presión alta de los pulmones de Jorge está afectando su corazón, el cual tiene ya una fuerte insuficiencia cardiaca afectando el riñón y otros órganos. Jorge se encuentra actualmente hospitalizado por ya casi dos meses en Instituto Nacional de Cardiología Ignacio Chávez en la CDMX y necesita de manera urgente un trasplante de pulmón. Los doctores están haciendo lo posible por estabilizarlo sin embargo el trasplante es el único tratamiento que le queda. Necesitamos de tu ayuda para poder trasladarlo a un hospital San Diego para su operación de transplante. Este hospital cuenta es un centro que da la atención especializada a pacientes con esta enfermedad rara.

<div>Hello, my name is Jessica Gordillo and I need your help so that my husband Jorge Escandón can get his bipulmonary transplant.

<div>Jorge was diagnosed in 2015 with a rare disease: Idiopathic Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension. It is a rare, incurable and progressive disease. The arteries in his lungs are gradually hardening and although he spent nine years in treatment and surveillance to control his disease and symptoms, since May of this year 2024, the disease has progressed very quickly and aggressively.

<div>The high pressure in Jorge's lungs is affecting his heart, which already has severe heart failure affecting the kidney and other organs. Jorge is currently hospitalized for almost two months in Mexico City and urgently needs a lung transplant. Doctors are doing their best to stabilize him, but the transplant is the only treatment he has left. We need your help to be able to transfer and operate on him in San Diego since this is a center that provides specialized care to patients with this disease.
