Saving Neighborhood Dogs from Deaths Doorstep

Donation protected

Friends: we have an epidemic happening in our community. Dogs and cats are being euthanized at an alarming rate and for no ethical reasons. More than one a week over the last 6 weeks.

We’ve taken it upon ourselves to start aggressively networking these dogs and finding homes near and far .   So far with the help of neighbors spreading the word and local rescue groups who have been willing to use their pull rights to get dogs out of the shelter who are deemed rescue only we’ve been able to save approximately 40 lives .
Some of this is costly. Some of the dogs we saved need to be transported out of state to their furever homes. They are safely in their new homes because of us teaming up and focusing our energy on saving their lives.
It started with saving Nova - a dog who was set to be euthanized - at Downey - a county shelter. We also helped to save Bear - a dog on the euth. List at East Valley - he was adopted and is now living free in Fresno with an amazing family. Nova is now in his forever home in Seattle because of Hello Pitty Rescue and Andrea Huerta’s efforts. Barbara Rappaport was driven to save Bear.

We have some amazing fosters who have
taken these animals into their homes, fronted fees- and stood in until we can find placement. It truly takes a village.

This fund covers boarding fees, leashes,
collars, grooming, dog beds, toys, transport help, gas, car washes, flea and tick
treatments, donations to rescues that help
us- we have receipts for everything.

we are not a 501c3 rescue yet but are working towards that and hope to achieve that
status soon.

We’re  also trying to help the cats. They are killing more the 1k kittens over a 3 month period in Los Angeles animal shelters - and God knows the number of cats. They are averaging about 700 animals a month - that’s how many a NO-KILL shelter kills. Yes. You read that correctly. We need your help. We donate food weekly to several rescues who feed feral.

Please see updates for animals that are making progress and finding furever homes!

If you feel inclined to help us raise money for this ongoing crisis we would be so grateful. Anything helps! We will be posting pictures regularly.  Please share with all animal lover friends! Let’s keep saving lives !
