Twelve years ago I met Wayne Schwass, an advocate for raising awareness of mental health, emotional well-being and suicide prevention, and was immediately inspired by his unwavering dedication to bring light to a tragic problem claiming far too many lives. In 2016, unnecessarily, 2866 people died by suicide in Australia alone.
Like me, I'm sure many of us have been directly touched by the tragedy of mental illness and suicide.
To bring attention to the cause, in March, I will be joining 30 courageous riders cycling from Sydney to Melbourne. Over 8 days we will ride 1433km to raise funds and awareness of his social enterprise PukaUP(link)
in an aim to create a national convention about suicide prevention.
To help me support this initiative, please donate so we can support Wayne in having an impact in stamping out these losses.
