Hi, my name is Kate and I am Puffy’s mom.

Puffy has had a rough couple of months.

On June 14th, Puffy was rushed to ICU after her doctor discovered her kidney levels in her bloodwork were elevated. She was hypothermic, dehydrated and near cardiac arrest.

During her time in ICU, they were able to collect a urine sample which led to the conclusion she had a UTI. So she was treated with antibiotics.

Puffy remained in the hospital for 3 nights and 4 days before she was stable enough to come home.

Fast forward to almost a month later, Puffy began showing symptoms similar to last time. So off to the vet we went for more tests and more antibiotics.

Puffy’s urine didn’t show any bacteria this time, which means she was clear of a UTI, however this means there is something else wrong.

Our doctor believes it’s either a neurological condition or it could be a disease close to the bladder, causing symptoms similar to a UTI. The only way to determine which one it is, is by ultrasound and CT scan, which is estimated to be around $1500. (This is just an estimate from our doctor, it may be higher)

Puffy’s vet bills over the last month have come to $7175.84. This isn’t including the upcoming tests we are going to send her for.

I have hesitated and held off asking for help, mainly because I know there are so many rescues out there that need the help too. But I’ve come to a breaking point in my finances, and I really do need the help.

All I want is for my Puffy girl to be back to her happy and healthy self. So I’m asking for your help, please consider contributing to her vet bills.
