Hello everyone,
The goal here is to raise, much needed, funds to provide essential supplies (food, water, fuel, etc.) to those in Puerto Rico by physically DISTRIBUTING them to remote areas of the island along with the help of the Puerto Rican Olympic Committee(COPUR) and Athletic Federation (FAPUR). As you may know, Puerto Rico was devastated by Hurricane Maria and there are over 3.4 Million U.S. citizens struggling to survive. They are hungry, thirsty, tired, without electricity and simply suffering.
My friend, Jaime Julia, and myself are Puerto Rican Athletic Federation athletes with Olympic goals to represent Puerto Rico and both have family and friends on the island in remote areas of the island. We have been told that they have not yet received any supplies and have no means to travel to the coasts; meanwhile, there are also adoption centers with no power. We are teaming up to raise funds and assist those on the island who are experiencing this mishap through the distribution of supplies. The main issue we want to address is the distribution issue by reaching those people in remote areas without access to the supplies in the ports and major cities.
Many of the people affected live in the more remote areas of the island and have trouble getting to locations which have substantial supplies available. Therefore, Jaime and I will personally be distributing the supplies to people in the most remote areas of the island. Many kind hearted people have donated to many organizations but the major issue now is simply distribution to those more remote areas of the island.
