I must admit I have NEVER IN MY LIFE gone to bed hungry or THIRSTY. These past 5 days in Puerto Rico have been an eye opening experience. I was able to deal with the situation because I knew that I was coming back to A/C, internet, phone service, a refrigerator full of food and water, a roof over my head..... but THIS IS NOT WHAT I LEFT BEHIND ON OUR ISLAND. This is their NEW reality!!!!!!!
I don't know ANYTHING about politics......but i can tell you that it is HEARTBREAKING and Cruel that almost 3 weeks after this HURRICANE people are NOT GETTING HELP. THEY NEED FOOD AND WATER.
I never saw a MILITARY truck, or food donation spots,or water trucks.....dont get me WRONG they are probably out in the bigger cities like San Juan or near the hospital or airports but there are millions of people who lived in poverty before and they are the ones who NEED our help now.

I plan to go back for a few weeks in November....to bring food, water, and HOPE...to all that I can.
They need help.....i saw too many stray starving dogs.......kids playing with no shoes....babies without diapers....
I can't just sit here and UNSEE what I saw....i have to help.!!!
