After Hurricane Maria, the island of Puerto Rico was devastated. Thousands were homeless and left with nothing. Puerto Rico is an American territory, but for some reason, did not get the relief necessary in a timely manner.
Puerto Rico suffered catastrophic damage and a major humanitarian crisis at the hands of the hurricane. Many died because of this hesitation to act in assistance. The island also lost power, making it the largest and longest blackout in US history. Many have had electricity restored, but thousands still go without.
Communities have banned together and built food kitchens that feed up to 350 people, but these people still need our help. Fresh water and supplies are needed. Donating today to the B Strong Disaster Relief helps families and children in need after natural disasters like this.
