Publishing my #AYAcancer memoir!

Hi, I'm M. Patricia, a #survivor, a writer, and a #coach. I've lived in the US for over 20 years. I'm reaching out to ask for your help. After a long writing journey, I finally finished what can be considered a second draft of a memoir. It’s about an experience I had with #cancer in the 1980’s. Back then, I lived in Venezuela, and was an adolescent.
I'd like to edit and publish my book to make it available to anyone who might want to, or need to, read a story like mine. Back then, I found a lot of strength knowing that others had lived after trudging through that experience. This book is one of my many ways of expressing my gratitude to all those wonderful people - my rocks, who didn't let me give up. Those amazing humans that when I was at my worst, found a way to let me know that it was possible and that I could make it through. I'd like to make this story available so that others know that it is possible to live and have a great life after cancer.
I've self-financed most of the writing project during a recent career transition. At this point, I'll have to invest from $8K to $10K in editing and publishing. Hence, I need some help. Please kindly consider helping me raise funds to make my story available to anyone going through a similar life challenge. To be more specific, editors are quoting me from $4K to $8K depending on the type of editing (i.e. line, form, content, etc ...) After editing I will have to self-publish. That's another $2 to $3K depending on graphics, etc.
An alternative to self-publishing is finding an agent and a publisher. I'm pursuing this route as well and if I find this option, my plan is to return any funds you gave me to support my journey. Or, I will give you the option to donate your funds to a teen or young adult cancer organization.
