Publishing 'In The Crosshairs'

I'm Robert Gonko, self-published author of 'The Inheritance' and 'The Servant'. I'm starting the process of preparing my new novel 'In The Crosshairs' for publication and I need your help.
An author should never edit his or her own book. I have learned this the hard way. Third-party editors are essential to make a book 'readable'. Even self-published, independent authors need this valuable service.
I used the word 'valuable' on purpose. Editors work hard on books and, like anyone else, deserve to be compensated for their time and effort. Unfortunately, I don't have the money to pay for this myself. Here's a description of the novel:
A cop charged with murder and sex trafficking is gunned down in broad daylight. It is the work of an individual known only as the Sniper; a killer who specialized in eliminating the most dangerous enemies of the Port Mason underworld—informers.
Private investigator Steve Bennett, fresh from his success in stopping the serial killer known as ‘The Servant’ is drawn into the hunt when it intersects with his most important case: the renewed search for his brother’s killer, a trail that is five years cold. The days ahead will test Steve as he has never been tested before, especially when the evidence points to the chief of police himself.
Steve and reporter Amanda Clark will face a gauntlet of intrigue, deception and betrayal beyond their wildest imagination as they find themselves “In The Crosshairs.”
The initial funding goal is $300 to pay for the first round of editing, which I need as soon as possible. Rates for the final edit and the cover art have not been set but I suspect it will be at least an additional $1200 total. I set the goal of $2000 because I would like to have a marketing budget for this book. Even online marketing can cost money if you want to reach a lot of people. Every dollar will help with that.
With my last book I had some rewards for various levels of funding. I'm going to try that again. Here's how it will work:

$11-$25: A signed paperback copy of 'In The Crosshairs', a free ebook copy via Smashwords, and a mention in the acknowledgements
$26-$50: A signed paperback copy of 'In The Crosshairs', a free ebook copy via Smashwords, a mention in the acknowledgements, plus a signed copy of the special edition of 'The Servant'.
$51-$75: A signed paperback copy of 'In The Crosshairs', a free ebook copy via Smashwords, a mention in the acknowledgements. a signed copy of the special edition of 'The Servant', and a personal 'thank you' letter.
$76-$100: A signed paperback copy of 'In The Crosshairs', a free ebook copy via Smashwords, a mention in the acknowledgements. a signed copy of the special edition of 'The Servant', and a personal 'thank you' letter.
$101 and up: My first born child...Just kidding! You'll get everything listed above plus (if you like) a personal phone call and your choice of a further reward: 1.) A major character named after you in a future novel. 2.) Three additional signed paperbacks of 'In The Crosshairs' to share with friends or 3.)Lunch with me if you ever find yourself in Springfield, Illinois.
