August 28th, 1989 to August 21st, 2013
During her short life, Amy wrote three novels, all on her own. She started writing her first novel at age 14. She was fond of all things related to art and creativity, but she especially loved writing which was her passion. Her dream was to be a published author and while she came very close within her short life, she never achieved her goal.
At the age of 17 she placed second in the Paul Gillette Writing Contest for the Annual Pikes Peak Writer's Conference in Colorado Springs, CO. The photo below is of her receiving the award in 2007.
It has been 5 years since Amy took her life at the age of 23 and I would like to start by self-publishing one of her books. It took me all this time to feel ready to try and get her books published. This campaign was incredibly difficult for me to start but I know this is what she would have wanted.
I plan to use Parker Hayden Media to help in the process of getting the first book published. The entire cost of the package will be $1495.
