Public Works Staff Support Fund

As everyone here in the Bay Area is aware, we have been ordered to shelter-in-place for (at least) the next 3 weeks. While this is obviously a major bummer, it is also a necessary measure to ensure that we slow the spread of Covid-19 so as to protect ourselves and the more vulnerable members of our community from sickness.

In complying with this order, and out of an abundance of caution and concern for all the hardworking folks who make Public Works and the events we put together a reality, PW is going to be closed into at least early May. Over the last week and a half the venue has had to cease day to day operations leaving the staff temporarily out of work. The folks who mix and pour your tasty beverages, check your coat, keep your dance floor clean… who, help to keep you safe and looked after… These folks are now, unfortunately, in need of some help and looking after. 

The venue is of course researching any and all possibilities so as to make sure PW survives and can continue to serve the community, but current options are limited and uncertain. So we, the staff of Public Works, are asking for your help during these trying times. Any and all donations make a difference and 100% of the proceeds benefit the staff directly.
