PTSD Fund Raiser

Erich Schuette (man on right side of photo) and Jeff Donovan (me) were pickleball partners (pickleball is the fastest growing sport in America and much of the world) and we won Gold together at the 2015 Utah State Pickleball Championship. Erich suffered from PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) from his army service and work in Afganistan. This past July, Erich died by suicide leaving a wife of 30+ years and three kids. I was devastated by his decision because throughout our friendship, I never knew he suffered from PTSD until a few months before his death and I didn't know how to help him.
I am fund raising including a pickleball tournament June 22 to 24 2017 in Brigham City Utah to honor him and his family and to raise PTSD awareness. I have a goal to raise $25,000 for two nonprofits named Continue Mission and The Sharing Place. Continue Mission helps veterans who suffer from PTSD and helps vets by doing outdoor events. Continue Mission is funded 100% by donations. The Sharing Place helps families who have had a member of the family die. They offer a nine month program for families who are divided into adults and kids and they provide families at no cost a program where they can grieve and talk about their family member who died.
I have already raised $6,673 and need your help to help me raise $25,000 by June 24th. I am donating 100% of your donations to both of these nonprofits along with the profit I make from the pickleball tournament June 22 to 24. I am donating hundreds of hours of my time towards this effort and I am taking no money for my efforts. Dozens of volunteers are helping me with the fund raising tournament. Your contribution will help in a big way in saving other Erich's and improve the lives of those who suffer from PTSD because they will have free access to programs that can and will help them.
