As one step towards reducing my carbon footprint on this earth I wish to get rid of my car that gets 16MPG and replace it with a velomobile that uses no fossil fuels to operate. Please help me make this goal a reality.
A velomobile is a three-wheeled recumbent bicycle enclosed in a full fairing to protect the rider from the sun and weather as well as provide aerodynamics to help overcome the effects of drag on a standard bicycle. I expect to ride it nearly every day to and from work. My wife and I will still have one car so if weather were so bad that it was unsafe to take the velomobile I could always take our other vehicle for that day.

I looked at many different velomobiles and the one that I have decided on is the Pterovelo made in Oklahoma. I prefer many of the things on this model over other models. It is built in the US so shipping will be cheaper and I also believe I will prefer the full canopy over a "head-out" style of other velomobiles. The image above is a picture of the original Pterovelo that I have manipulated in Photoshop to experiment with different color schemes and graphics examples. They say it is best to visualize your goal before you even begin so I've placed it virtually on my front lawn. :)

If you own a business I am offering Reward Levels for contributions that allow for advertising your business on one or both sides of the velomobile as a thank you for helping me fund this project. The different Reward Levels state maximum size of the logo and duration of time displayed on the velomobile. If you would be interested in a larger logo or a longer duration please contact me. All logo artwork must be approved by me.
