Prairie Sage Protectors is asking for mutual aid to help with emergency and ongoing vehicle maintenance.
Recently our main vehicle has been put out of commission due to tire failure. We rely heavily on this car for our weekly Sunday outreach as it transports supplies, our BBQ, and volunteers to and from site.
We also depend on this vehicle to travel out of the city for cultural and community building purposes, and use it to support living rough & unhoused community members by means of grocery trips, meeting appointments, emergency transportation, etc.
The owner of this vehicle is an Indigenous activist single mother who is unable to cover the costs to fix it at this time.
Immediately the car needs a new set of tires & wheel alignment, however there are a series of ongoing maintenance issues needing to be addressed as the use of this vehicle to support our work accumulates high KM requiring more frequent maintenance than average.
