<div>Via deze weg willen we geld inzamelen voor onze beste vriend Robbie Hageman.

<div>Een fantastische, lieve en zeer sportieve vader van drie kinderen en nog maar 31 jaar oud, bij hem is begin 2019 tijdens een CT-scan een hersentumor ontdekt.

<div>Robbie woont in Nuenen samen met zijn vrouw Chantal en hun vier kinderen, Inoah (7), Boaz (4) Jeüs (3) en Eva (0).
</div>
<div>In het dagelijks leven werkt hij in zijn eigen sportschool Out of the Boks in Valkenswaard waar hij recreanten maar ook (bekende) topsporters kickboksles geeft.

<div>Daarnaast speelt het geloof een belangrijke rol in het leven van Robbie.

<div>Dit gaat veel verder dan alleen bidden en kerken bezoeken, hij geeft ook diensten door heel Nederland en heeft zijn verhaal al vele malen uitgedragen waaronder ook op radio en tv.

<div>Robbie was professioneel kickbokser. In december 2018 vocht hij op het event Glory 62 een partij tegen de Rus Dmitry Menshikov. Tijdens de partij ging Robbie knock out. Volgens het reglement van Glory moest Robbie daarna een scan aan het hoofd ondergaan. Deze scan is bij Glory verplicht na iedere knock out.

<div>Tijdens de uitslag kreeg Robbie iets vreselijks te horen.

<div>De artsen hadden geconstateerd dat Robbie een gezwel in zijn hoofd had.
</div>
<div>Het bleek te gaan om een tumor die te diep zat om volledig te kunnen verwijderen.
</div>
<div>Robbie kreeg te horen dat hij ongeneeslijk ziek was.
</div>

<div>In april 2019 heeft Robbie een operatie ondergaan en is de tumor voor een groot gedeelte verwijderd. Hij probeerde na de operatie zijn leven weer op te pakken, de verwachting was dat de tumor acht tot tien jaar weg zou blijven. De realiteit bleek echter anders, na ruim anderhalf jaar was de tumor terug.

<div>Begin 2022 is tijdens een tweede operatie wederom een groot deel van de tumor verwijderd en is Robbie helaas ook een deel van zijn gezichtsveld verloren. Daarna is Robbie 28 keer bestraald in Maastricht en volgde wederom een scan, daaruit bleek dat het deel van de tumor wat was achtergebleven, niet was veranderd.

<div>In Nederland kunnen ze, buiten een chemokuur van één jaar waar Robbie afgelopen augustus mee is begonnen, niets meer voor hem doen. Deze behandeling is enkel levensverlengend, genezing is in Nederland, volgens de artsen, niet mogelijk.

<div>Aangezien Robbie geen opgever is wil hij alles doen om toch te genezen en zijn kinderen te zien opgroeien. Er is een behandeling mogelijk in de VS met verassend goede resultaten. In eerste instantie was het de bedoeling dat Robbie naar Dr. Burzynski in Houston Texas USA zou gaan. Na verdere onderzoeken is hij terecht gekomen bij een dokter in Houston die zijn immuunsysteem optimaliseert om zo te tumor te doden. De kosten voor deze (jaar)behandeling zijn hoog en met de bijkomende kosten (reiskosten, verblijf en het wegvallen van inkomen) zullen de totale kosten uitkomen op €475.000.

<div>Helaas wordt deze behandeling niet vergoed, vandaar dus deze actie, want dat verdienen Robbie, zijn vrouw en kinderen. Deze behandeling kan het verschil gaan maken. Zie de updates over hoe Robbie al gestart is met deze behandeling en wat de toekomstige plannen zijn!

<div>Robbie was a professional kickboxer. In December 2018 he fought a match against the Russian Dmitry Menshikov at the Glory 62 event. Robbie was knocked out during the match. According to Glory's rules, Robbie then had to undergo a head scan. This scan is mandatory at Glory after every knockout.

<div>The doctors had found that Robbie had a growth in his head.
</div>
<div>It turned out to be a tumor that was too deep to be removed completely.
</div>
<div>Robbie was told he was terminally ill.

<div>In April 2019, Robbie underwent surgery and the tumor was largely removed. He tried to get his life back after the operation, the tumor was expected to stay away for eight to ten years. However, the reality turned out to be different, after more than a year and a half the tumor was back.
</div>

<div>At the beginning of 2022, a large part of the tumor was again removed during a second operation and Robbie unfortunately also lost part of his field of vision. Robbie was then irradiated 28 times in Maastricht and another scan followed, which showed that the part of the tumor that had remained behind had not changed.
</div>

</div>
<div>In the Netherlands, apart from a one-year chemotherapy that Robbie started last August, they can do nothing for him. This treatment is only life-prolonging, healing is not possible in the Netherlands, according to the doctors.
</div>

</div>
<div>Since Robbie is not a quitter, he wants to do everything to heal and see his children grow up. Treatment is possible in the US with surprisingly good results, there is even a chance of full recovery! The costs for this (annual) treatment are high and with the additional costs (travel costs, accommodation and loss of income) the total costs will amount to € 475,000.
</div>

<div>Unfortunately, this treatment is not reimbursed, hence this promotion, because that is what Robbie, his wife and children deserve. This treatment can make all the difference.
