Heartbroken Dog Mom of Kona, my 5-year old fur baby. My Husky mix, Kona, is in need of emergency surgery. Kona woke up screaming in pain and couldn’t stand today. I rushed him to an emergency vet visit on September 6, 2025. I was told Kona needs both hips replaced as his condition has worsened. Kona is the sweetest boy and was previously the most active and athletic dog until I learned he has crippling arthritis in his joints and his hips are completely out of socket, leaving him in crippling pain. Kona’s weekly cold laser treatments and pain injections are failing, and he needs surgery so he can walk again. Kona's surgery is $20,000. I’m working 3 jobs to try and pay for surgery while helping my daughter through college. My daughter’s father was tragically murdered in 2023, so we have had a rough 2 years, and I’m the only source of income in my home. I’ve already maxed out my credit for Kona’s weekly treatments over the last year. Please help my precious fur baby walk again and live the life he deserves.
