PSCSM School Reconstruction

Tax deductible
The January 2010 earthquake that devastated Port-au-Prince, the capital of Haiti, brought down all the Petit Séminaire College St-Martial (PSCSM) infrastructure and buildings including the two tower buildings, the House of the Fathers and damaged enormously the church which is an icon in the heart of former students and a historical monument for the country. Founded in 1865, the school has been a pillar in educating the Haitian youth; to ensure that the school continues its mission, the Order of the Spiritans and the School Alumni (L ’Amicale de St-Martial) have launched a campaign for collection of funds to rebuild the school. Thanks to some donors, a section has been built, but three thirds of the works are still pending. The church reparation cost is estimated at about $1M; in the meantime, the focus is on the second phase which is to build the second building for the secondary cycle. Therefore, to reach this goal, we are asking for your financial contribution to move the re-construction project forward and help the PSCSM regain its place of excellence in the education of the Haitian Youth.
