~ESPAÑOL~

Hola!! Me llamo Mariam y tengo 17 años. Esta campaña la inició mi padre, Gregorio Hernández Muela en enero de 2022, ya que yo soy menor!
Estoy formándome para ser músico y me han aceptado en una de las universidades de música más prestigiosas a nivel mundial.: Berklee College of Music, en Boston, EEUU.

Desde muy pequeña he estado metida en el mundo de la música, empecé en el coro local de mi ciudad (Valencia), me apunté a clases de solfeo y piano clásico, he participado en musicales, entré al conservatorio de música clásica... Pero después de mucho tiempo intentando encontrar qué es lo que realmente me gusta dentro de este mundo, por fin lo he encontrado y me he decantado por la música contemporánea. Empecé a componer mis propias canciones, ahora mismo estoy trabajando en dos de ellas para poder publicarlas y pronto lanzaré mi primer single (actualización: YA HE SACADO EL PRIMER SINGLE :D, el video que os he puesto por aquí). He descubierto que lo que realmente me apasiona es expresarme a través de la música e intentar que los que me escuchan cantar o interpretar canciones sientan lo mismo que yo siento cuando canto.

En verano de 2021 tuve la gran oportunidad de apuntarme a un intensivo de música en la sede de Valencia de Berklee College of Music, y fueron las 3 semanas más especiales de toda mi vida. El hecho de estar rodeada de gente de todo el mundo, cada uno con su cultura, con sus costumbres y su lengua, y estar todo el día haciendo música me ha abierto los ojos. Era vivir con música todo el rato y me he dado cuenta de que eso es lo que quiero en mi vida. Vivir de, con y para la música.

Mucha gente, cuando me pregunta qué voy a estudiar y yo les contesto que voy a estudiar música se creen que mi objetivo es hacerme famosa, pero ya os adelanto que no es así. Evidentemente la fama ayuda, pero no es la única manera en absoluto. Se puede ser productor, arreglista, corista, escritora...

Al asistir al programa de verano de Berklee me dieron la oportunidad de hacer la audición para entrar a la universidad, cosa que antes ni se me había pasado por la cabeza, aún así acepté creyendo que se quedaría sólo en la experiencia. El 15 de octubre me dieron la respuesta y recién levantada a las 7:30 de la mañana, antes de ir al instituto, vi que me habían aceptado para el curso 2022/23, y no sólo eso, además me habían concedido una mini beca de 8.000 $ anuales. Darme cuenta de que una universidad así ha reconocido que tengo talento para la música me ha impulsado a luchar por lo que realmente quiero.

Como ya os podréis imaginar, para cualquier familia española de clase media es casi imposible permitirse el coste de una universidad de EEUU, y es por eso que estoy haciendo todo lo posible para recaudar fondos (con becas, fundaciones...) para poder cumplir mi sueño. Por lo tanto, NECESITO VUESTRA AYUDA!!!!
Necesito vuestra ayuda para desarrollar este talento que Berklee ha reconocido en mí. Existen varias universidades diferentes a la de Berklee pero igualmente muy costosas. Aunque haya sido Berklee la primera en darme acceso a formación de este nivel,  me he presentado igualmente al resto y por tanto vuestra ayuda va a ir siempre destinada a este fin, aunque de momento le ponga el nombre de Berklee a mi objetivo.  Os mantendré informados sobre las diferentes opciones conforme vaya teniendo información.

Para Berklee exactamente necesito 70.000$ anuales, que abarcan gastos de matrícula, estancia, residencia y manutención, y seguro de salud. Ahora claro... esto por 4 años de carrera. Es una cifra que impacta la verdad, es muchísimo dinero y todo un reto, un reto muy complicado, pero estoy luchando por él. Hi everyone!!! My name is Mariam and I'm 17 years old. I'm training to be a musician and I have been accepted to one of the best music universities in the world: BERKLEE COLLEGE OF MUSIC!!!! In Boston.

I've been involved in the music world since a very young age. I started in the local choir of my city and then I signed up for music theory and piano classes, I performed in some musical theaters and I even got into the classical music conservatory, among other things.

After a lot of time trying to figure out what was what I really liked about the music world, I finally found it: contemporary music.

I started to write my own songs and right now I'm working on two of them, and soon I will be releasing my first single (update: I ALREADY RELEASED MY FIRST SINGLE :D, the video that I attached)

I understand now that what I really love is to be able to express myself through music, to make people feel what I feel when I am singing.

In summer 2021 I got the amazing opportunity to assist in the Summer Program of Berklee College of Music. They were the most special 3 weeks of my life. To be surrounded by people all around the world, each one with their mores, with their culture and their language, and also to be all the day making music, made me open my eyes.

We were doing music all the time and I realized that that's how I want my life to be, everything about music.

A lot of people ask me what do I want to study, and whenever I say that I want to study music, they instantly believe that all I want is to be famous, but that's completely untrue.

Obviously, fame helps but it is absolutely not the only way to live from music. You can be a producer, a songwriter, a chorist, an arranger, an instrumentalist...

When I assisted the Berklee Summer Program, they gave me the opportunity to audition to apply for the Undergraduate Program 2022. That thought had never crossed my mind before, but I decided to take a chance, thinking that it was no way they were accepting me.

The October 15th at 7:30 a.m they send me the answer to my application, and before leaving for school I read it: I had been accepted for the undergraduate program September 2022 with a scholarship of 8.000 $ per year. The fact that such an important music college like Berklee realized my talent gave me the strength to fight for what I wanted.

As you may be wondering, for every Spanish middle-class family, it is almost impossible to afford the cost of a university from the United States. That's why I am doing everything in my hands to raise money (applying for scholarships, asking in foundations...) so that I can achieve my dream. Therefore, I NEED YOUR HELP!!!!
I need it to keep developing the talent that Berklee has seen in me. There are a few other universities that I'm applying to besides Berklee, with a similar economic cost, and whatever happens, the money that we raise is always going to be used to finance my music formation. I will keep you updated too about the other options that I have. 

To be specific, for Berklee I need 70.000 $ per year, which covers the cost of the enrollment, housing and maintenance, and health insurance. This money being per 4 years... If you do the numbers, it is a giant amount of money and a whole challenge for me, a very difficult one, and I am fighting for it.
