<div>Hi we are Micala and Lee, we are the parents of Holly newton. Holly was sadly murdered in January 2023 in Hexham North East of England by her ex boyfriend.

<div>Holly was you standard teenager, beautiful, intelligent, funny and loving. she had joined army cadets and met a boy, they started off as friend and it soon grew into a relationship. Over 18 months they spent time together at his and our homes, and in that time unbeknown to us he had become very controlling and obsessed with Holly.

<div>In the end Holly decided to end the relationship and it is something he couldn't accept, so followed her and her friends around Hexham and stabbed her 36 times. Unfortunately Holly didn't stand a chance against him, she was a child trying to defend herself from a boy with a knife and died later that night in hospital.

<div>It is now our mission to buy and install emergency Bleed Boxes and educate young teens and adults on the red flags of Domestic Abuse.

<div>Hollys case has unfortunately been labelled as knife crime as she was under the age of 16, we are trying to get the age of this reduced so younger people can get the advice and help needed if they find them self in a similar situation.
