Provide Vital Support to Central America

My name is Liliana Duque, and I have a unique story to share. I was born and raised in New York, but when my mother fell ill, my brother and I were taken to our family's homeland, El Salvador, where we were nurtured by our grandmothers. This experience exposed us to a vastly different environment compared to the United States. While Central America has seen some gradual improvements thanks to certain politicians and new regulations, it still grapples with significant economic challenges, high poverty rates, and stark income inequalities.

Recently, my parents visited a facility in Guatemala near the El Salvador border, and I learned about a Catholic convent called “Madre Teresa de Calcuta.” They run a program known as “Hogar Ciudad de la Felicidad,” which provides essential care for orphaned children, pregnant women, and elderly individuals in need. This facility offers healthcare and shelter, including regular check-ups for pregnant women and support for the sick elderly. However, they can only afford to bring in a doctor once a month due to limited funding and resources, including medical equipment and staff.

I am committed to supporting this vital organization to ensure it can continue its mission of helping the community in Esquipulas, Guatemala, and other Central American facilities that desperately need financial assistance. Your support can make a significant difference in the lives of those who rely on these essential services.
