Hi, I am the Co-Director of a Non-Profit, Waco FLYTE Program - FORMING LEADERS IN YOUTH TRAVEL EDUCATION. We are raising money for students who attend Title 1 High Schools in McLennan County, TX. We have built some amazing relationships with our students, and based on conversations with several of them, they would love the opportunity to travel, some for the first time outside of Texas. Donations will help reduce the cost for our teen travelers (ages 15-19) as we plan study abroad adventures. Our trips are 7-10 days long, and the study portion includes pre-, during, and post-trip assignments.

We are raising money for student travelers who normally wouldn’t have the opportunity to travel outside of their state, let alone the country. We have built some amazing relationships with our students, and based on conversations with several of them, they would love the opportunity to travel, some for the first time outside of Texas. We are raising money to help 30 of our students study abroad for 7 days in Greece to experience new cultures and potentially earn high school and college credit.

Why are we raising money? The trips cost about $4,200 per student, covering all transportation, activities, and two meals a day. Donations are necessary because, despite working with an excellent educational tour company (EF) to make it feasible, the cost remains high. Our students and their families are committed to fundraising as much as possible, in addition to making monthly payments.

How will donations be used? All donations will be equally split among the students (not the chaperones) to reduce their costs for airfare, hotels, transportation, and meals. Your donation in any amount will be greatly appreciated.
