<div>Most Palestinians in Gaza have been displaced and are suffering from a severe lack of food, clean water and shelter, poor sanitation and disease.

<div>I am in contact with a few Palestinians from Gaza and have been sending them money to help them and their families as very little international aid is getting through.

<div>Hazem has family and friends in Nuseirat. He has a contact who is baking bread to distribute to many families. 3 large bags of flour cost £450 and can make 1,200 loaves of bread to feed 120 displaced families. 1kg of flour can make 300 loaves to feed 30 families. Bread with cheese and meat cost £170. Prices are very high due to merchants exploiting the situation but this scheme is a more cost effective way of helping more families at a time. Hazem is helping people in the centre of Gaza, Khan Yunis and Rafah.

<div>Mohammed's family fled from their home in Khuza to a camp and had been sleeping out in the open air. He returned to his home to collect some belongings only to find that nothing was left (see photo). The little humanitarian aid that is getting through is not shared evenly (there are fights to get to the food). Sometimes when he goes to get food, he returns with nothing. There are markets, but everything is really expensive now because of the demand.

<div>I sent him money for food, and wood to build a shelter and he sent me a photo and video of what he had built. I did a video call with him and his family and they were very grateful. He has a bad chest from inhaling smoke and phosphorus from bombs. He has a family of nine and I would like to send him more money for clothes, food, medicine for his father and milk and diapers for his baby niece.

<div>I had intended to set up a fundraiser a while ago but the need was so urgent that it was always quicker to send my own money with the idea of setting up a fundraiser later.
