<div>My name is Christina Davids , a citizen of Jamaica, and I permanently reside, and teach in the state of Florida. I’m from Westmoreland to be exact at the border where hurricane Melissa made landfall . It took me some time to cognitively develop a strategy to move forward after witnessing such devastation. Mentally, physically, and emotionally people have been affected. Not only was the house I grew up in suffered damages with the roof being ripped off entirely, but families were displaced, churches, schools and every board , and zinc roofed  houses were flattened. How heartbreaking it was for me , I had to help remove the lifeless body of a family member whose house fell on her causing her death . She leaves behind 4 children , and 5 grandchildren who are now homeless. With the  assessments done so far , it will take hands and heart to come together to get back on our feet .In my estimation, some may suffer the perils of hunger, there might be outbreaks of diseases , and even death. It is through this medium , I seek all the assistance that can be afforded to help feed , house , and restore  the lives of affected families. Thank you for your consideration, and generosity in advance. All proceeds from this will be used specifically to provide food , and materials for rebuilding homes for the affected families.
