Protest Support Station (Seattle Area)

Our hands are tied!
We are a group of students at Seattle Central College. We need your help in supporting our students, faculty, and staff during these protests. All of us are having to deal with the struggle of completing or grading homework while also attending protests in support of Black and Brown communities. Our community is exhausted from being pulled between school and civic duty.
We need your help to fund a support station at the South Plaza of Seattle Central College. The support station will be a place for all protesters to rest away from the front lines during these days of protest. We aim to stock the support station with:
• bottled water
• snacks
• milk
• basic first aid
• ear plugs
• PPE - masks
• sign making supplies (poster board, markers ... etc.)
• protest literature
The Support Station is going live 2pm - 12am everyday starting today, 6.7.
Broadway Business Improvement Area, Seattle Pridefest, and Seattle Central College will be providing portable bathrooms in the parking lot next to MudBay, across from Walgreens at the south end of campus starting Tuesday 6.9 through Monday 6.15.

If you are unable to support the front lines, this is a great way to get involved and help.
ANY and ALL additional funds not used will be donated to the following Seattle area, non-profit organizations that directly impact Black and Brown communities.

Current money handling procedures:
Since this was quickly organized by students, myself (Michael Harris), have setup the withdrawals to myself. Jade, our lead support station student, will be purchasing the supplies needed for the station. Upon receipt of what has been purchased, reimbursement to Jade will be made. ANY and ALL remaining funds not used for this support station will be donated to the organizations listed above. To setup accountability, a ledger has been created and made publicly available through this Google doc: PSS Ledger.
