Cari amici della Val di Mello,
alla luce degli innumerevoli attentati commessi negli anni ai danni della Riserva Naturale Val di Mello, abbiamo deciso di lanciare una raccolta pubblica di fondi destinati a sostenere ogni attività a tutela e salvaguardia delle sue bellezze. In particolare, la raccolta è diretta a coloro che amano la Val di Mello e vorrebbero vedere questo luogo magico protetto e preservato per la gioia dei loro occhi, per i loro figli e le generazioni a venire.
L’iniziativa nasce infatti dalla necessità attuale e concreta di coinvolgere direttamente un team di legali e altri tecnici ed esperti in grado di intervenire e rimediare allo scempio sinora causato e di prevenire altri danni per mano di una gestione incapace ed insensibile alla bellezza del paesaggio della Riserva Naturale.
Ma non è finita qui. L’idea alla base di questa raccolta fondi in realtà è un progetto di più ampio respiro, che guarda al futuro e vede l’istituzione e il mantenimento di un ente a tutela del paesaggio e dell’integrità della Riserva Naturale della Val di Mello, preposto alla sorveglianza dei luoghi, con l’auspicio che venga un giorno coinvolto direttamente anche nella gestione della stessa.
Se infatti l’esperienza ci insegna che in ogni decade si profila all’orizzonte un antagonista della Riserva Naturale con l’intento di depredarla e deturparla, dobbiamo ergerci a baluardo della sua protezione, ora e in futuro.

Dear friends of Val di Mello Nature Reserve,
in the light of the countless attacks on Val di Mello Nature Reserve over the years, we have decided to launch a public fundraising campaign to support all activities aimed at protecting and safeguarding its beauty. In particular, the crowdfunding is aimed at those who love the Mello Valley and would like to see this magical place protected and preserved for them, their children and future generations.
In fact, this initiative stems from the current and real need to involve a team of lawyers and other experts who may help us in restoring the damage caused so far and preventing further damage by the management’s grossly inept and insensitive handling of the beauty of the Nature Reserve's landscape.
But this is not the end of the story. The idea behind this fundraising campaign actually is broader: our project looks to the future and envisages the establishment and maintenance of a body to protect the landscape and the integrity of Val di Mello Nature Reserve, a body that may monitor the area, in the hope that, one day, it may also be directly involved in its management.
For if experience teaches us that every decade an antagonist looms on the horizon with the intention of plundering and wrecking the Nature Reserve, we must stand up for its protection, now and in the future.
