Protective Fence for Roxanne

This GoFundMe page has been established to support our neighbor, Roxanne Capparelli, as we take steps to push back against the current political climate of our country. On Thursday, July 27th, as Roxanne and her husband, Michael, were planting flowers in their front yard, an individual drove by shouting obscene racial remarks at her. As devastating and difficult as this incident has been for Roxanne to process, this, unfortunately, has not been the first time that Roxanne has experienced discomfort as a result of passerby near her home.

As her neighbors, we are not OK with these threats to her safety and well-being, and will show up in whatever way we are needed. We are mobilizing around her and Michael to make sure they know (and the neighborhood knows) that they are supported and safe in our community. One way we are showing up is by helping them to fund and build a protective (but beautiful) fence that will buffer the vulnerability of their yard to passersby so that Roxanne and her family have more peace of mind when gardening and spending time in front of their home.
