Update 3/7 She is in a shelter. Her car has died. So we still need around $700-1000 the shelter is finding her a the shelter is finding her a permanent residence. Update 2/20 This money did help. Thank you all! They did get into a hotel till Tuesday. Food has been provided through a pantry. The waiting period for a room for a mom and 2 kids is approx 2 more weeks. I’ve called the mayors office and escalated a call to Woman and Children’s CEO. We have enough money for 7-10 more days of hotel. Praying something happens. They may end up at the Wayside Christian mission on a cot. Her autistic son will not handle this very well.

Hello, I’m trying to help someone who’s voluntarily left a domestic abusive situation. All the shelters are full in Louisville. It’s unprecedented for all the shelters to be full. They have two kids. Their partner has threatened many times to kill them if they ever left and took their child. A restraining order has been filed. We only need enough to keep them in a very inexpensive hotel for a week or so. They have food right now. They may need gas. I’m trying to make sure they do not go back to the situation they were in just to avoid being left on the cold streets. We’re working with a member of the police and a social worker, and they may have a place in a week or so. I’ve paid for a few days in a hotel, but I haven’t worked in about 6 weeks due to COVID. I cannot foot the bill. Please help if you can. We also trying and save for a deposit for a cheap apartment.
