Hello, this is Preston Adams he is my son. He just turned 21 yrs old on June 21st, he is profoundly autistic non verbal, and requires 24hr supervision.ok, so I have had this funding page up for over a month now, and have only gotten 9 donations, I appreciate everyone we have received, but I feel compelled to reach out to you even more than before,some might think of a privacy fence as a luxury and something alot of people would love to have just to have more privacy,but in this case it's going to potentially save my son's life,he is a runner and can get away from me in a instant.I don't want to be the next parent on the news with a missing autistic child/adult,I don't understand why it is that a successful fundraiser is only after a tragedy,I am simply trying to prevent a tragedy.This fence will be more than just a privacy fence for leisure and pleasure,this will enable my son to be outside, for more than just a few minutes and actually take in some of what nature offers us typical folks,without the worry that in a split second he could decide to run to the road.I am a single parent and have been for over 10 yrs, we are on a fixed income,I am a homeowner, my boys father is deceased, after I pay the house payment, the car payment, powerbill,water bill,phone,homeowners insurance, car insurance,get grocerys,and pay for gas in the car there is no extra money,or I would be paying for this myself,I don't ever ask for help unless it is absolutely needed, I went through breast cancer surgery and used as little help as possiable, just to not interupt my sons daily life, he is use to me being the only one to take care of him. I bathe him, I dress him, etc etc, at this time he does not receive any services from any outside programs,apparently there is no funds available through agencies for things like this.
I come here with a humble heart, and I am trying to keep it as real as I can without trying to come across as trying to make anyone feel sorry for him or us...I am simply asking to try to put yourself in my shoes, and try to find a warm spot in your heart, to help us out with this one project that will be priceless,considering the possiabilities of Preston being able to enjoy being outside, and being safe. We can plant a garden water flowers,walk the dogs, play ball,etc he is 21 yrs old and has never got to enjoy being outside for more than a few minutes, your donation will help accomplish the most amazing thing for him...thank you for your time and donation!!
