<div>We find ourselves in a challenging and emotionally draining situation as we fight for legal and physical custody of our daughter. We are a same sex married couple who used a known sperm donor to start our family.

<div>In March of 2023, our daughter's sperm donor, who was a very close friend, filed a lawsuit for joint legal and physical custody of our daughter. A mutual agreement was made prior to donating sperm that he would have no legal rights to any child conceived using his donated sperm. 5 years later, he has apparently changed his mind. Our life has been turned upside down as we try to navigate the legal system to protect our rights as lesbian parents.

<div>We are reaching out to you, our extended family and community, for help in securing our family's future. The legal hurdles we face have taken a toll on us, both emotionally and financially. The legal expenses have been mounting at an alarming rate, and we are unable to navigate this difficult path on our own.

<div>The only home and family that our daughter knows is ours. The thought of being separated from her is a nightmare we cannot bear. We deserve the chance to continue providing a loving and stable home for our precious daughter without turning her life upside down if our sperm donor were to win.
