The tower, pictured with MXC Director, Efia Nwangaza, is the central piece of equipment that enables the station's broadcasts.

<div>Since 1991, WMXP 95.5 has been the only FCC-registered low-power Black community-owned and operated station in South Carolina, providing independent local and national programming as well as communications and media training for and by Greenville’s Black community!

<div>The first goal of this GoFundMe is set at $2,500 to cover an initial payment, at which point the goal will be raised to try to catch up on back payments and save for future rent.
