<div>We are a group of residents in Diseworth, a small conservation village close to East Midlands Freeport. Together we are working as WINGS Communities Ltd- Protect Diseworth. This group aims to protect the community of Diseworth, including the countryside that immediately surrounds our village and separates it from areas of existing and potential development. Thus ensuring it retains its integrity as a conservation village within an area of increasing economic development.
</div>
<div>Our current focus is on the proposed warehousing development by SEGRO on 250 acres of agricultural land.
</div>
<div>Why are we raising money? Initially, oppose any planning applications by obtaining legal and professional advice and challenge this inappropriate development.
</div>
<div>What will be the impact on our village if planning is granted? -
</div>
<div>The decimation of agricultural land used to grow wheat and other crops.
</div>
<div>Destruction of habitats will include trees, hedgerows, wildflowers and fields. As a result, potential decreases in wildlife, and threats to some species, e.g., hedgehogs, Willow Warblers and many other farmland birds.
</div>
<div>Increases in (but not limited to)
</div>
<div>Pollution  -   Air
</div>
<div>                     Noise
</div>
<div>                     Light
</div>
<div>Potential increase in flooding, the Village already experiences flooding, and this could be further increased by agricultural land being concreted over.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>WE NEED YOUR FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO HELP US FIGHT THIS INAPPROPRIATE DEVELOPMENT. IT'S IMPORTANT TO PROTECT OUR ENVIRONMENT NOW AND FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>THANK YOU.
